Waste production in Tasikmalaya City reaches 313,956 kg/day, with 82.29% remaining unmanaged and 16.6% entering the Ciangir Landfill in Tamansari District. This situation has triggered a waste emergency and overloaded the Ciangir Landfill. This community service research aims to enhance the capacity of residents in Mugarsari Village, Tamansari District, in managing organic and plastic waste independently through education, training, and appropriate technology enhancement. The methods used include offline socialization and hands-on practice. A total of 19 housewives participated in this community service. Evaluation results showed a 16.75% increase in participants' comprehension with all participants confirming that the material was easy to understand and applicable. However, operating the simple plastic pyrolysis tool requires the formation of a community waste management team for optimal performance. This program has proven effective in promoting community-based waste management to reduce the burden on the TPA Ciangir while supporting the achievement of SDGs 12 and 13.
