Abstract

Rejosari Village, Pakis, Magelang is a center for blacksmithing enterprises, where the majority of residents earn their livelihoods in the blacksmith industry, both as employers and workers. The products produced in the blacksmithing process include hoes, sickles, grass sickles, machetes, knives, spoons, forks, plates. The production process is still carried out manually using simple equipment and has not yet implemented good manufacturing practices. There are still potential workplace hazards, and the understanding and application of OSH aspects remain far from disciplined. The potential hazards found as high heat, respiratory problems. These hazards are exacerbated by work behaviors that have not properly applied OSH standards. Through the implementation of community service activities on management and application, an improvement in understanding of OSH standards has been achieved among both employers and workers. Consequently, work quality and productivity will automatically increase in line with compliance with work behavior based on OSH standards.
