Non-hemorrhagic stroke is a common type of stroke that can cause muscle weakness and impaired physical mobility. One of the non-pharmacological interventions that can help improve blood circulation and muscle strength is hydrotherapy in the form of warm water foot soaking. This research aims to describe nursing care and determine the effectiveness of warm water foot soak hydrotherapy on muscle strength in non-hemorrhagic stroke patients at TK II Putri Hijau Hospital, Medan. Methods: This research uses a descriptive case study involving two non-hemorrhagic stroke patients experiencing impaired physical mobility. The therapy was performed by soaking the feet in warm water at a temperature of 38-40°C for 15 minutes, once daily in the morning for three consecutive days. Muscle strength was measured using Manual Muscle Testing (MMT) on a scale of 0-5. Results: The results show that prior to the therapy, both patients experienced muscle weakness in the left extremities, with a muscle strength score of scale 2. After three days of therapy, the muscle strength of Case 1 increased to scale 4, while that of Case 2 increased to scale 3. In addition, blood pressure and comfort during movement also shared improvement. Conclusion: Warm water foot soak hydrotherapy can help improve muscle strength and physical mobility in non-hemorrhagic stroke patients. This therapy can be considered a simple nursing intervention for stroke patients, both in hospital settings and for independent care at home.
