The global waste problem is currently at an alarming level and is likely to worsen over time. According to World Bank data, global waste volume is predicted to surge significantly, reaching 3.4 billion tons by 2050, with low-income countries projected to experience a threefold increase in waste production. Global waste is dominated by organic and plastic waste. Organic waste accounts for 44%, paper waste 17%, and plastic waste approximately 12% of the total waste volume. Community service activities in waste management in Hamlet 3, Ajinembah Village aim to conduct outreach and education to the community about waste management, especially the utilization of used plastic waste into useful products such as paving blocks, training in skills in processing plastic waste into competitive local products, promoting mutual cooperation and environmental clean-up actions. The activities include outreach, training, and the application of appropriate technology to process inorganic waste. The results achieved include increased knowledge, attitudes, and actions of partners regarding waste management. Partners have acquired the knowledge, attitudes, and actions to manage inorganic waste and the skills to make paving blocks from used plastic waste.
