Abstract

The Jakarta Province has undergone significant changes in urban planning and land use. The increasing population is one factor driving changes in land use. This population increase is accompanied by a growing demand for jobs, decent housing, and a comfortable and safe environment. Limited land has led to widespread misuse of land. Jakarta currently lacks green open spaces (RTH) and water catchment areas, leading to the development of slums in these areas. Several environmental and social issues continue to arise in the city, including annual flooding, clean water shortages, pollution, and health problems, as well as frequent clashes between residents. One solution to address these issues is to increase the number of RTH and green open spaces, thereby improving environmental quality
