MEWUJUDKAN GENERASI HEBAT TANPA NARKOBA: SOSIALISASI PENCEGAHAN BAHAYA NARKOBA DI SMPN 1 TEMBILAHAN BERSAMA KASAT NARKOBA POLRESINDRAGIRI HILIR

Abstract

Drug abuse is one of the social problems that can have negative impacts on adolescents’ physical health, psychological well-being, education, and social life. Therefore, preventive efforts through early education are needed, particularly in the school environment. This activity aimed to increase students’ knowledge and awareness of the dangers of drug abuse and to develop their ability to prevent and respond to negative influences from their social environment. The activity was conducted on July 21, 2026, at SMP Negeri 1 Tembilahan, Indragiri Hilir Regency, using a community service method with an interactive educational approach. The activity involved students from grades VIII and IX, KKN students from Universitas Riau, the Indragiri Hilir Police Narcotics Investigation Unit, school administrators, and teachers. The materials were delivered through interactive lectures, discussions, question-and-answer sessions, case studies, visual media, educational games, and motivational chants. Evaluation was conducted through questions and answers and observation of students’ participation. The results showed high enthusiasm and active participation among students during the discussions, as well as improved understanding of the types, impacts, risk factors, legal consequences, and prevention of drug abuse. This activity demonstrates that interactive education and collaboration among schools, university students, and law enforcement can serve as preventive efforts to strengthen adolescents’ awareness and resilience against drug abuse.
