PENINGKATAN KOMPETENSI GURU PENJAS DALAM TRANFORMASI PENDIDIKAN YANG BERKEMAJUAN MENUJU INDONESIA EMAS 2045

Abstract

This community service activity aims to improve the competency of Physical Education, Sports, and Health (PJOK) teachers in facing the dynamics of educational transformation that is progressing towards Golden Indonesia 2045. The background of this activity is based on empirical findings that show a significant gap between the competency demands of PJOK teachers in the Independent/National Curriculum era and the real capacity of most teachers in the field, especially in terms of digital literacy, designing competency-based teaching modules, authentic assessments, and the use of AI. This program is designed using a reflective-collaborative needs-based training approach. The implementation method includes three cycles of activities, namely: (1) strengthening the conceptual foundation through workshops and focus group discussions; (2) developing innovative capacity through intensive practice-based training; and (3) implementation, clinical supervision, and structured reflection. This activity involved 100 PJOK teachers from junior high and high school levels who are members of the Regency PJOK MGMP and was implemented for 12 weeks (January – March 2026). The results of the activity showed a statistically significant increase (p < 0.001) in all competency dimensions measured: pedagogical competency increased by 83.5%, professional competency by 82.3%, digital literacy by 80.6%, understanding of the Independent/National Curriculum by 89.0%, and utilization of AI technology by 82.2%. In addition, 45 innovative, ready-to-use physical education (PE) teaching modules were produced and a Professional Learning Community (PLC) of PE teachers committed to continuous self-development was established. This activity makes a real contribution to an adaptive, innovative, and highly competitive physical education ecosystem, as a foundation for developing superior human resources for Indonesia Emas 2045.
